I am a master student working with Bao-Liang Lu in the BCMI group at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Biography

I was born in Fuzhou, a very beautiful city surrounded by mountains. My first experience with computer science is the six-year study of programming and algorithms since junior high school. My tutor is Ms. Lizhen Wei, a great teacher whose unselfish help I would never forget. In 2004, I've made an important decision--choosing to become a member of ACM Honored Class of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I met many talented and funny guys and received well-organized and mathematically-biased computer science courses.

In the summer of 2005, I joined the Vision Group of Lab of Brain-like Computation and Machine Intelligence, supervised by Prof. Bao-Liang Lu. From Monday to Friday, I study computer vision. My long-term goal is to build an intelligent system that can understand the underlying semantics of images. I believe that the key step is image representation problem. Currently, I am working on similar pattern discovery of scene images. On weekends, I enjoy computer vision, re-implementing vision projects that I think interesting.
