I am an undergraduate student of ACM Honored Class, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China and will finish my B.S there this summer. I have been a research assistant at BCMI Lab for two years and an intern at HP Labs China for half a year.

Research Interests

My research interest mainly contains database and machine Learning. More specifically, data analysis and data management based on solid mathematic, discovering new algorithms and proving the bound or complexity, improving or creating models used in Field of Machine Learning and exploring relationship and potential cooperation between various fields.

Research Experience

I have been a research assistant in BCMILab for two years. My basic knowledge of Machine Learning source from there, espicially from discussing on the Book, Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning. Thank to my advisor Bao-Liang Lu and my mentor Lichen Shi. They have provided me a lot of help.

I went to HP Lab China as an intern on summer, 2010 and met Prof. Feifei Li and Prof. Ke Yi. We have written a paper there and submitted it to SIGMOD. Now we are waiting for result . Talking and discussing with them is really nice. They have taught me a lot about data analysis and research skills. I also want show great appreciation to the Director of the Lab, Min Wang. She offered chance to meet such great professors, provided good research surrounding and suggested many advices when we are discussing.

Teaching Experience

I am a teaching assistant of course Computer Network Lab. The Main Task of the course is to ask the student to implememt what they have learned about Computer Network using java. My main responsibility is to give them guidence and help design the details of the task. Please refer to the course link to get more detail.

Other Experience

I have also attended to two PRP projects. One is about Economics Behavior, the other is about Nuclear Physics. Working on different things brings different ideas. I want to learn as much as I can and as various as I can.

Personal Hobbies

I am a tall and sporty boy. Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennis, Snooker are all my favourites. As a student majoring in Computer Science living with computer everyday, Cyber Competition also becomes one of my best ways of relaxation.
