【课程介绍】
A graduate-level introduction to fundamental concepts and algorithms of computational audition. Topics include basics of audition, pitch analysis, sound localization, auditory scene analysis, speech and music processing (enhancement, segregation, and transcription), speech and speaker recognition, and modeling of the auditory system.
Upon completion of the course, the participant will have gained:
- Understanding physiological/psychoacoustic phenomena of audition
- Comprehension of theories, models, and algorithms in computational audition
- Ability to solve practical problems in audio and speech processing

Lecture notes plus selected papers from the literature.
【评分标准】
A project within the scope of this short course. Examples may be (but not limited to):
- A computer implementation of a specific algorithm or duplication of a specific system (from a paper)
- A proposal (or an original idea) and some initial results
- A detailed analysis or an in-depth review on a specific topic
- A short paper summarizing the project should be 1500-2000 (3-4 pages) words in length, and is due on Friday morning (and returned on Friday afternoon).

【关于龙星】
近几年我国经济得到了持续发展，我国已加入WTO。这意味着我国不仅在产业，而且在科学技术等方面要面临全球一体化的严峻挑战。在这激烈的竞争中，优秀人才是取得胜利的关键因素（在信息领域显得更为突出）。我们高兴的看到，海外一批中国留学生现已学有所成，在诸多信息科学前沿领域做出了重大贡献。"龙星计划"就是要组织一批在美国学术界已有成就、有一定地位的原中国留学生，不定期回国就某一领域，在中国各地大学，系统地讲授一门美国研究生课程（每门课程15-30课时）。同时，就所讲课程的学术领域、有关课题与国内科学家及研究生共同讨论研究。撰写综述文章，并将其在《计算机科学技术学报（英）》上发表。这对提高我国科研水平和培养优秀人才都将起重要作用。
(1) 龙星计划委员会负责讲学和交流活动及具体学术领域的确定、主讲和主要交流人员和承办单位的选择以及把握学术方向等。委员会的秘书工作和日常服务。由设在中国科学院计算技术研究所的龙星计划办公室负责。
龙星计划委员会每年征求授课教授和承办单位，公布下一年的学术交流领域（包括研究生课程、研究课题）。由各大学提出申请后由龙星计划委员会进行选择。确定后，报送基金委审批。
龙星计划委员会每年评估学术交流活动情况，为下年活动安排作参考。
(2) 每年组织6-12人次回国讲学、短期工作。每次讲授一门研究生课程，计15-30小时。组织听众人数由讲课者与承办大学商定。学员免收学费，食宿自理。
(3) 承办单位负责组织听众及提供各种信息，以保证课程的圆满成功;负责给课程提供必要的会议设备、场地等;负责给讲课者提供市内多方面的服务（如交通、住宿等）信息。
(4) 国家自然科学基金委员会根据龙星计划办公室的申请，为龙星计划的实施提供资助，包括讲课者的旅费、住宿费及部分龙星计划运作经费。
