EEG-Based Wheelchair

We designed an EEG-based wheelchair, which can be steered by users’ own thoughts without any other involvements. People can imagine different mental tasks (i.e., left hand motor imagery, right hand motor imagery, and feet motor imagery) to control directions of wheelchair movements. The BCI system embedded in the wheelchair realized translations from EEG signals into commands. We believe that this EEG-based wheelchair has a promising perspective in daily application for disable people.
